Could Rudy Be Leading Big?

When you put the two front-runners on the Republican side head-to-head, it appears that Rudy is trouncing McCain. This is a pretty early momentum shift in the direction of America's mayor. Is it disenchantment with McCain or love of Rudy? Time will answer that question. From Patrick Ruffini and with more analysis at his place...
CBS News is out with another poll on the Republican nomination that shows Rudy Giuliani, whose campaign is a client, solidly in front with a 50-29% lead in a two man race with John McCain. [Corrected. The story says 21, but the PDF says 29.]
This is in line with other recent polling showing a significant shift towards the Mayor. USA Today / Gallup had it at 40-26 in a multicandidate field, Rasmussen 32-18, and Fox News at 56-31 for the two-man.

Romney is my first choice,
Romney is my first choice, Giuliani is second, and McCain is my third...any of them are better than those communists on the left.
So why exactly do you think
So why exactly do you think McCain is fading so fast? Not parading around singing Streisand?
It's not that Rudy's leading
It's not that Rudy's leading big, its that McCain is fading very fast.
Indeed, Giuliani has alot of
Indeed, Giuliani has alot of momentum, and if he did end up getting the nomination, I would fully support him and I can see him defeating the main democratic contenders (Hillary, Obama and Edwards), maybe even by significant margins of victory.
However, I still support Senator McCain, and I still think he will be the eventual nominee once Giuliani's more liberal stances get shown to the Conservative Republican primary voters. McCain has been polling well in New Hampshire, and South Carolina. If he can gain those, he will go into February 2008 with alot of momentum.
McCain has zero trust and
McCain has zero trust and rapport with the base of the party, he's turned on them too many times, with judges, taxes, campaign finance.
well, I still think Romney
well, I still think Romney could take the nomination, and hope he does. I would probably support Giuliani over any Democrat, although I have big problems with Giuliani's social positions. He says he will appoint Constitutionalist judges, which is good, but in my opinion, it is way past time to get the Abortion debate out of the courts. Enough "established precedent" crap.
