Saturday Sports: All-Star Game

Are you happy with the selections for the 2007 Major League Baseball All-Star Game? In my opinion, Indians Catcher Victor Martinez should be starting over "Pudge" Rodriguez. Which selections really earned their way to San Francisco, and which players deserved to make it there but didn't get the votes?

All-Stars that missed out
I'm happy that big John Lackey, Frankie (K-Rod) Rodriguez and Big Vlad Guerrero made it, but I truly believe that Orlando Cabrerra and Scott Shields deserved the nod as well. Disappointed they didn't make it.
Victor...
...also knows how to swing a baseball bat, not just put his glove in the way of one.
PUDGE vs. MARTINEZ
PUDGE RODRIGUEZ makes a far better catcher than Martinez - who is on board as an alternate. Their stats are VERY similar, with one major difference: 2094 games vs. 584 games. Pudge has experience. WAY more experience. And experience matters. A LOT. In addition, Martinez, like his 3rd baseman Casey Blake, has a patently terrible attitude. I've seen him thumb his nose at pitchers after hitting home runs. This, like the Blake "PUSS" incident in Detroit, is the childishness that one would expect from middle school ball players. If that. Very unsporting. He shouldn't be on the all-star roster AT ALL.
Bonds doesnt deserve to be
Bonds doesnt deserve to be starting over Soriono.
