-Gee, let me choose to become part of a hated and persecuted minority. Little Jimmy is hated in school, so maybe he decides, "Golly f***?? How can I be even more hated by my peers?...Maybe I'll develop a taste for man-semen!

God forbid if folks are just left alone.

But you right! Hate is wrong.

The reality of homosexuality is that it can be about everything just described!

(1) A mental illness. If you've ever had the misfortune of seeing some of the imagery and porn on the Internet, you know exactly what I mean. Many forms of mental illness involve deviant sexual activity that, quite frankly, would make the average homosexual hurl. Some people are just plain twisted. It just so happens that a disproportionate number of people with extreme mental anomalies are either homosexual or porn addicts, and some are both. Just research all the serial killers in American history. You'll see a common life path for these people that should be disturbing to anyone dealing with issues of sexuality.
(2) Inborn. A good percentage of homosexuals are just that way. They can't help it. They fall in love with persons of their same gender. They didn't decide to be that way, any more than a straight that goes heads over heels over that hot babe in their class at school or office at work (or wherever) decides to get all giddy, weak-kneed, tongue-tied, or whatever. It's natural. It's instinctual. And it can not be helped - neither by straights or by gays.
(3) A choice. Obviously, willpower can trump instinct. For example, if Justin - a known straight - decided to bend over Wild Bill or Kender, that would obviously be homosexuality as a choice. A lot of people do erratic things like that: It's called "experimentation." And with the possible exception of bisexual individuals, homosexuality as a choice is actually pretty rare.

When you look at all the possibilities, I'm left to draw one simple conclusion: Hate is wrong. Whether it's hate for a particular race, hate for a religion, or hate for a sexual orientation, hate is wrong. To that extent, Brian is drawing the right bead on the situation by calling for prayer - but prayer means love and acceptance of your enemies. This is the lesson Christ taught us.

Incidentally, gays, lesbians and other sexual deviants have continuously assaulted the moral fabric of our society by political activism. Society may not have to right to dictate what they can or can not do, because what they do is their business. However, they do not have the right to impose on the plural of society their moral values and force us to accept their political activism or sexual lifestyles as either normal or acceptable.

Sooner we just say gay people are just born that way and move on, everybody will be much happier. Of course, must people of a certain age only learned about homosexuality from those scare propaganda PDAs of the forties-sixties.

Are you homosexual? Do you hold any degrees in psychology, medicine, sexuality or any related field? Assuming the answer is no, what gives you the authority to make this claim? What are you basing this belief on. I can understand why many conservatives are against gay marriage, but have yet to figure out why they think they know more about homosexuality than actual homosexuals or experts.

If anyone in the country running for office had any moral courage, the debate would be over how best to help these people that are stricken with this psychological and emotional illness. Homosexuality is a psychological and emotional illness and until the Oprahs of the world stop perpetuating this problem these poor souls live a tragic life. But the democrats and many republicans do what Oprah does while the sheep in America blindly go furthering and believing the lie. We have to pray for them and stop the lie! Homosexuality is a psychological and emotional illness!
