No Crime, No Lawsuit

Valerie Plame wasn't covert, so there was no crime in revealing her name. That being said, Joseph Wilson is still a lying coward with a political agenda that did no real research in Niger and was lambasting the administration to make a name for himself, especially amongst the Democrats he donated to. His wife's lawsuit has been dismissed.
PLAME LAWSUIT DISMISSED IN CIA LEAK CASE
A federal judge dismissed former CIA operative Valerie Plame’s lawsuit against members of the Bush administration Thursday, eliminating one of the last courtroom remnants of the leak scandal.
Plame, the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, had accused Vice President Dick Cheney and others of conspiring to leak her identity in 2003. Plame said that violated her privacy rights and was illegal retribution for her husband’s criticism of the administration.
U.S. District Judge John D. Bates dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds and said he would not express an opinion on the constitutional arguments. Bates dismissed the case against all defendants: Cheney, White House political adviser Karl Rove, former White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby and former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage.
Dick Armitage basically confessed to revealing Plame's name, and he had nothing to do with the administration and their problems with Wilson. Libby was not indicted for revealing Plame's name. He was indicted for having a memory lapse about a conversation he had (one amongst thousands), years ago. Fitzgerald needed to indict someone, or else he would have no chance of being named a Special Prosecutor in a future Democrat administration. This was all about political motivations, and everyone had them. No crime, no lawsuit.

No source, no credibility

'Anonymous' presents no evidence to back up the claim that Plame's covert status ended over ten years ago. And its claim is in fact contradicted by the CIA unclassified summary of Plame's employment:
(Emphasis mine.)
If there is a reason to give credence to the unsupported claims of an anonymous commenter here over the public statement of the CIA, it is not immediately apparent.
meaty madness
Anonymous (not verified) — Fri, 2007-07-20 14:03Is this meathead person actually claiming that the writer of the law in question is an unreliable source?
LOL that's rich!
Driving to Langley every day and sitting behind a desk = not covert
When she was covert, over 10 years ago, she indeed did travel under a cover identity as meathead posted. Problem is, it has nothing to do with the current case.
LOL!!!!!

Rotten, uncooperative facts
m.e.atbrain — Thu, 2007-07-19 22:19"Toensing helped write the rules - the Identity Protection Act - and she said in numerous places that Plame was not covert."
Kids, your dear deluded Aunt Cao has illustrated an important wingnut principle here. When discussing a matter of national security and CIA employment, always rely upon the claims of someone who does not work for the CIA and has no access whatsoever to that organization's employment records. Always ignore sworn affidavits from currently serving CIA officials, because they contain facts rather than speculation, and facts must be avoided at all costs!
Compare and contrast the facts to Cao's fantasy:
"...she was sitting behind a desk for 10 years..."
Oops. Damn facts, always getting underfoot.
Oh, Justin---
looneyontheleft — Thu, 2007-07-19 21:48I really do want that $6.00.
wow let me try that again
cao — Thu, 2007-07-19 21:46Toensing helped write the rules - the Identity Protection Act - and she said in numerous places that Plame was not covert.
The fact that you're going to hold up some guy's affadavit just shows to me that they didn't change her NOC classification.
Doesn't mean that she was covert; it means the CIA was too lazy to change the paperwork.
So who lied? Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame! For political gain and to sell books and speech engagements!
bush lied, men died,
That's what it's based on - yellow cake and niger.
Did you get the fact that the memo was released wherein she recommended her husband for that post after she lied in front of Congress?
I think she should be indicted like Libby!
Talk about ignorant!
cao — Thu, 2007-07-19 21:43Toensing was behind it, no desk jockey is covert and she was sitting behind a desk for 10 years because she'd been 'outted' a long time ago by Aldrich Ames.
The fact that the lawsuit was dropped doesn't mean anything to you?
That just indicates that you're dumber than a rock!
It doesn't mean Justin "lied", although that's all you have in your arsenal to come at people with!
