Democrats Kill the John Doe Amendment

Justin Higgins — Thu, 2007-07-19 21:54

ROTR- The Democrats' Plan on SecurityIn response to the case of the "Flying Imams," a movement began to develop known as the John Doe movement. Because radical Islamofascists and groups that protect them are willing to target people who report suspicious activity when muslims are involved, a movement began to protect those that report that activity.

Now, as Michelle Malkin reported today, Democrats have killed an amendment designed to protect these citizen heroes. The John Doe amendment was defeated because of Democrats in both the House and the Senate. The vote was 57-39 in favor of the John Doe amendment in the Senate, and the party which screamed about "majority vote for majority rule" during the all-nighter has now used the 60 vote super-majority to kill the John Doe amendment. As shown in my photoshop example to the right, the message from Democrats on keeping an eye out for terrorism- "Don't report suspicious activity!"

Islamic Left - BFF

This is all becoming way too complicated... The "Islamo-Fascists" thing, those are your words, not mine. I can shorten it down to "paranoid". The "flying Imams" incident didn't take place back in 2000, where it might now be talked about as the event that would foreshadow the things to come. No, it happened in 2006, after five years of oppressive airport security. A time where you can't get inside the terminal with anything more deadly than a pack of matches...and these guys were going to take over the plane with a seat-belt extension?
Also, these peoples civil rights, which you lovingly refer to as "whims", are every bit as valuable as the rights of any Christian in America. The amount of racial and religious profiling they must endure at airport security should earn them some basic human courtesy.

The left is always allowed to come with some of most bizarre accusations I've ever heard.
Bush has been called a terrorist by other Americans, and accused of war crimes and suspicious activity.
Why shouldnt Bush be allowed to sue these people ?

This is just another example of the left willing to afford every PC amenity they can to anybody except people they disagree with.
They are the kings of slander and mischevious speech and name calling.
But want to forbid us from calling a spade a spade.
Is'nt this John Doe thing an infrigement on free speach ? And our right to voice concerns ?

Let me get this right

Anonymous (not verified) — Sat, 2007-07-21 02:30

If a guy is sitting in front of me on the train with a box that has wires hanging out of it, saying Muslim Good Infidels Bad and I call and report it he can sue me. It sounds like the terrorist have infiltrated our congress or at least their foreign lobbyist have.

We need to vote all these people out of congress. God help us!

Radical Muslims

Kate (not verified) — Fri, 2007-07-20 22:18

Americans are comfortable blobs for the most part, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the day is coming when these American Idol couch potatoes are going to come up swinging. I myself are pretty damned sick and tired of having my rights trashed. I'm sick of voting for politicians who protect the illegal, the murderer, and the radical Islamist and then smear it in my face.
One day soon, someone, somewhere is going to explode and then its going to be "ON LIKE A CHICKEN BONE" I plan to be right in the middle of the fray taking a rubber bullet and a water cannon in the face. I ain't skeered!
Sign me, Jane Doe!

But that's really disappointing.

"Hold fast to the Bible as the sheet anchor of your liberties; write its precepts on your hearts and practice them in your lives. To the influence of this book we are indebted for the progress made, and to this we must look as our guide in the future."--

Left-Islamic Alliance

Todd Anthony — Thu, 2007-07-19 23:40

Seemingly, the Left loves to pander to anyone or any group perceived to be persecuted by all-things "right." The Democrats are scared to death of normal citizens concerned with national security; they categorize us as xenophobic Islamo-fascists. Their claim with the Flying Imams is that they're protected by Freedom of Religion.

Of course, innocent bystanders who express a concern that terrorists cold blow up a plane can't express their freedom of speech.

The Left has pandered abhorrently to the Islamists with the mentality that if we cater to their every whim and placate them at every turn, they will somehow find acceptance with us and cease their "freedom fighting (note: sarcasm)."
