ROTR- 2 Full Years

ROTR- Two YearsTwo years ago, I began blogging with the goal in mind of exposing liberal idiocy, especially when it came to borders, language, and culture. What can I say? I'm a Savage fan. I said I would defend fellow Republicans from liberal attacks, and I've held to that promise. I also said I would disagree with some Republicans, like John McCain, and attack them when I disagree but defend them when I agree. I've done that. Today marks two years of blogging with the goal of changing minds and building a new view of Conservatism. I have to say, I've come a long way. Today I'll be looking back at some various events of the past two years. I hope you stop in throughout the day to learn a little bit about what brought ROTR to where it is today. Thanks for reading.

You know-

-I would have taken your word for it. You didn't have to create all those links at 2 in the morning. Relax, chill out, watch some cartoons...

Just so you know...

CINO baby!

-they're almost verging on 'communist in name only' really. I would hope your bone of contention with them is due to the way they treat their citizens and the minority peoples in their sphere rather than just not liking them 'cuz of the green and red uniforms and their outdated idealogogy.

That's one of my gripes with American foreign policy and how we do business with the world. If the political and corporate elites practiced what we've been fed about the American experiment, the would could maybe be a much better place for so many people. Imagine if any countries were mistreated large masses of people or doing things country to democracy, they would be cut off from that great capitalist world system.

And if our whole economy didn't entirely run on oil, we could cut of Saudi Arabia.

And Russia due to their actions in Chechnya, as well as the continuing Czarism of Putin. And Turkey due to their treatment of the Kurds and for their continuing occupation of part of Cyprus. And I know better than to mention Israel around these parts, so I'll just ignore them in my list of oppressive regimes we need to cut away from. Hell, I'm just going to stop now anyway...

I'm all for...

I'm all for cutting all ties to China and their communist government.

Then, would you-

Would you be for stopping American businesses from investing in China? I mean, if they're not good enough to trade with, then they shouldn't be good enough to invest in.

But year, I agree with you on that. We really shouldn't trade with these abhorent coultures and countries to the extent we do.

Fair trade...

Fair trade means that we don't trade with countries like China which put an automatic 20% tax on American goods as soon as they hit our shores. Fair trade means we don't trade with countries like Saudi Arabia which won't even look at American-made goods. Fair trade means we trade with countries that are interested in trading with us, on the same grounds.

Under the present system,

Under the present system, there's no way anybody is going to get elected as President. Every President since WW2 has had a strong foreign policy and the trend will continue, well past the economic cataclysm that we're headed for.

Since a lot of these terms we see like 'fair trade' are used to mean different things. What is your concept of fair trade?

Some answers...

First off, I have evolved from a "free trade" activist into a pretty staunch "fair trade" activist. I've also evolved into becoming a supporter of the fair tax, a flat sales tax.

How is this a new view of Conservatism? It's a view for the future, focusing on strong foreign policy, even though people like Ron Paul would like us to believe the Republican Party has always been isolationist in nature. It's a view about how Conservatism fits in the world ravaged by terror and facing new threats.

If the last two years-

-were as much fun as my first week on here, I sure missed out.

You say you want to change minds. Have you, since this unfortunate political awakening you had, started out with one thought, belief or theory and ended up with a different one?

I ain't baiting you, but could you explain how this is a new view of Conservatism? It seems pretty standard.

Exposing liberal idiocy

Well I suppose by allowing Meatbrain to put his spew in comments, you are doing precisely that.

Congratulations!

Two years! I think you're doing a bang up job over here, Justin, you always offer your readers fun dna dinteresting things to read and provide lots for people to discuss in comments.

You also are the only one that I'm aware of who allows meatbrain to offer up his spew - I think the rest of us don't have the patience anymore, since all he does is call you a 'liar'.

I don't recall that he ever responded to all the people that put the story together about what Keith Ellison said, lol...

"Hold fast to the Bible as the sheet anchor of your liberties; write its precepts on your hearts and practice them in your lives. To the influence of this book we are indebted for the progress made, and to this we must look as our guide in the future."--
