GOE III- Meet the Bloggers
- Posted by Justin Higgins on September 19th, 2007 in
I met tons of great bloggers at GOE III, including FIAR from Radioactive Liberty and the man behind Sheepdog's Blog. I name those two first because I didn't grab pictures with them. I did however snag pictures with some of my favorites:
First up, Wild Bill from Passionate America spent quite a bit of time with me. Without him, we would've probably never found the hotel in DC, and he also served as my surrogate guardian in downtown DC, not that I needed one. Me and Bill:

And then there's Kat from CatHouse Chat. She was the other moving force behind my lodging arrangements, and I suppose the other half of my guardian team. At one point I believe she called herself my bodyguard. You can't find nicer (or crazier) folks to spend a weekend with:

I arrived early in the morning to the GOE III rally site at the mall, and I ran into the amazing team from Hot Air. I couldn't help but take a picture with Hot Air cameraman and driving power Bryan Preston:

Ok, ok, so he wasn't the most famous blogger there. The other half of the Hot Air power-team (no, not Allahpundit), was present and doing a great job. Michelle Malkin took a few minutes to talk to me and she actually knew who I was! She posed for a picture:

Finally, some bloggers are driving powers that most don't recognize. Luckily, I checked Hot Air before heading to GOE III and caught an interview between Michelle and the power behind Porkbusters and Victory Caucus. I caught up with N.Z. Bear and chatted with him for a while, and of course, got a picture:

There ya have it! Some of the most powerful and influential Conservative bloggers on the net showed up to the Gathering, and it was great spending time with them. Citizen journalists, citizen pundits, and citizen activists can be celebraties in their own right.

Surprise!

Fat Brittney Spears dancing and OJ Simpson coverage is waaay more important.

Thanks for the honorable mention! Again, it was great meeting you and countless others and getting to hang out for a bit!
It was encouraging to see so many turn out to support the troops and rally for freedom. There's not enough of that in this country- or at least not enough that gets reported by the mainstream (surprise, surprise). It's reassuring to know patriotism (and common sense) is still alive and well.
I'm looking forward to the next time we get to stand up against the vile traitors together! :-)
wish I would have seen this before tonight's radio show
If I'd have seen this before Political Pistachio Radio aired tonight, I would have asked you about your visit with Michelle Malkin, and how it felt that she knew who you were. Excellent pics.
I'm jealous, too!
How did you get a photo with Michelle? I was there with both of my children and didn't see her!

GREAT post Justin
Kat, of course you are powerful and influential. That million Dollar smile would wow even the most dour (Ogre?) sourpuss.
Justin, you have done a GREAT job on this and as Kat says, I'm damn proud of you and the other youngsters that will be stepping up to the plate, now and into the far future. Again, I'm impressed and proud that I know you.

Oh, wow! Does this mean I'm "powerful and influential," too? ;-)
Great meeting you, Justin - it's good to know that the future is indeed looking bright with young men and women of your caliber to step up to the plate.
So. When are we gonna do this again?!
