Marc Dann and Anti-Christian Bigotry

Attorney General Marc Dann, who hails from my home district, deserves some ridicule for his comments. In case you missed it, one of his e-mails was exposed in the Dayton Daily News, and it also exposed his bigotry:

ROTR- Marc Dann

Dann, who is Jewish, e-mailed Jennings on April 6 about an editorial that ran in his hometown paper, The (Youngstown) Vindicator: "Bentley said there are six nasty posts after the Vindy editorial. All about you," he wrote. "Jesus had it better on good friday."

Asked last week about the Good Friday line, Dann said, "Did I say that? ... I really stay away from religious jokes. So I would be really surprised about that, if I said that. That's not my sense of humor."

Did you really say that, Mr. Attorney General? Yes, and it's already time for you to begin apologizing. Comparing some political attacks to Jesus's crucifixion is remarkably anti-Christian. Matt Hurley from Weapons of Mass Discussion has the GOP response to his comments. Excerpt:

“If comedians and talk show hosts can be fired and publicly scorned for a single racist remark, Marc Dann should be held no less accountable."

“I expect Ted Strickland will join me in demanding an apology from Marc Dann. Certainly the governor and ordained minister would not tolerate these comments from a statewide office holder.”

While Ted Strickland is an ordained minister, I wouldn't put it past him to stay silent on this issue. The people of Ohio need to be made aware of Dann's bigotry, and should say something about it. The phone number of Marc Dann's office is (614) 466-4320.

Oh, so what-

-it is a funny line. If he was a goy, would it have been less offensive?

Maybe he's firing the opening salvo in this year's War Against Christmas.

When you're the top dogs in a society, like Jesus-worshippers are, you have to just move on and realize that some silly jew making a joke isn't the end of the world.

Our gov'nor is a minister? Wow, the war against the Jesus-worshippers continues! You people are really becoming outcasts in this country... You only have the Supreme Court, the Presidency, the vast, vast majority of the House and Senate, most of every state's leadership, most every locality's leadership... In the words of Liva Soprano, 'Oh, poor you!'

And more than likely, this doesn't mean he's a bigot. As this is a society run by Jesus-worshippers, someone like Dann would be committing political suicide if he really voiced true anti-Jesus leanings.
