ROTR Endorses Fred Thompson for President

Update: My good friend Jay from Stop the ACLU has weighed in semi-sarcastically on my endorsement:

In related news, Justin Higgins announces his endorsement of Fred Thompson. Its all over now. Once Justin speaks, things happen.

In all seriousness, I hope to organize a sort of grassroots effort for Thompson. I'm going to see if we can't get some ROTR readers on the phones for Fred, and if we can't have some live conferences to discuss advancing his campaign. Iowa is right around the corner.

Justin- WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

Justin, why do you defect first to Huckabee and then to Thompson? You should have stayed with the winner- Mitt Romney.

Ok, so I was wrong-

-but don't you dare tell me you weren't getting taunt at the thought of a Paul, Lil Dennis ticket.

It would make the next 4-8 years so exciting. You wouldn't have time for baseball you would be so bizzy blogging!

Good choice on the

Good choice on the endorsement...GO FRED!

How do you think Rep. Steve King's endorsement will affect his chances in Iowa?

Thompson-

-was covered by the media. They covered him before he announced with their 'Will he Run?' stuff. And once he announced, they covered him for a little while, framing him as 'too lazy to run a campaign'. And then he was marginalized like all of the candidates who aren't Barack, Hillary, Huckabee and Romney. And this week McCain has started to be treated as a contender by that mainstream media.

As always, I have to state that reporters lean left on social issues, but the editors and owners are fairly right. And they're the ones who decide what and who gets covered and how.

I like Thompson cuz he doesn't seem to know what he is doing, and either was too pure or too cheap to hire someone to tell him what to do. At the onset at least. I don't know if he's fixed this the past few months.

Outside of that, I'll be happy to not vote for him come next year. I look forwad to not voting in November. But I'll still bitch. Yay me!!!

Why liveblog the obvious?

You're gonna back Ron Paul, but only if little Dennis is his running mate.

Because that would heal this country.
