Maverick Plays the Chickenhawk Card

What does it mean when someone plays the chickenhawk card? It means that they accuse a supporter of the war of being hypocritical because they're not fighting in that war. It means they're not qualified to be a war supporter if they weren't in the military. Essentially, John McCain's new ad strategy is saying that the other candidates aren't qualified to be Commander in Chief because they didn't serve. It is the moral equivalent of the same thing the left uses to attack us. Hot Air has the video and some commentary:
Allah says that it's close to the absolute inverse of the chickenhawk argument, but it's really the same thing, just re-phrased to better suit John McCain. Allah may feel more tempted to vote for Maverick because of it, but I sure as hell see right through this cheap tactic. McCain's a war hero, absolutely, but what does the man stand for?
