The Gaza-Egypt Border Crisis

Via Hot Air, and by video, FOX News, the Palestinians are rioting and tearing down walls. See the problem with open borders? In all seriousness, there is a serious problem in the Middle East and intervention is required. No clue who though, since the liberals would scream bloody murder.

Intervention?
Hey, if you're suggesting that the US goes in, defeats the Israeli army and frees the people of Gaza, I'm in!
Shame on people, tearing down walls put around them! No mention, of course, that the people ran out of a Gaza, lots of them buying food and oil, things cut off from them by the Israeli army this past year.
(And yes, I'm sure there were a few of them who ran out to buy missiles, since, of course, nobody likes an occupation.)
And Israel admits to this embargo, saying they're doing the classic counter-insurgency move of starving a population into not supporting anti-occupation forces.
As with most every world problem and conflict, there's no easy answers and no easy way out for any of the peoples involved. Silly leftie me, thinking that you really shouldn't starve 98 people so that 2 of them can't get to weapons. Or 95/5. Whatever... It is nice, that for a few weeks, some folks aren't going to freeze at night (it gets cold at night in the Middle East), are able to cook and might have some food to cook with.
