Schuring Outraises Oppenents, Preps Mailer

Kirk Schuring is quickly becoming the candidate to beat for Ohio's 16th, and he looks like the candidate to beat the Democrats in the General. He signed Grover Norquist's tax pledge, and he's running on a Conservative message. Matt Hurley has the fundraising scoop:
The latest report shows Schuring has raised more than $266,000 since he began his campaign, including more than $75,000 in the fourth quarter of 2007 — three times more than his opponent raised in the same period. Schuring has roughly $154,000 cash on hand — more than twice as much money as his opponent has raised in total. Schuring's fundraising far out-paces his primary opponent, and demonstrates a wide array of support from across the district.
Schuring's campaign also has their first mail piece together, and I have to say, it's impressive. It touts both his record and his pension for supporting change, the buzzword of 2008. It includes strong language against amnesty and for simplifying the tax code. It's attached to the post for download.
