More America Hate from Obama's Pastor

Update: Barack Obama has released a statement repudiating Wright's comments, but he doesn't specifically say which comments he disagrees with, and he hasn't condemned the man overall theology. Here's the key excerpt:

Let me say at the outset that I vehemently disagree and strongly condemn the statements that have been the subject of this controversy. I categorically denounce any statement that disparages our great country or serves to divide us from our allies. I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our public dialogue, whether it’s on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by Rev. Wright that are at issue…

He says the statements that are at issue. What if more statements come up Barack? Will you individually reject those as they arise? How do we know which statements you saw and reject? This is a fluffy response to a real issue.

The media has been abuzz over some statements made by Barack Obama's pastor for the last couple of days. Yesterday I told you about him saying "God damn America" and drawing comparisons between Barack Obama and Jesus. Now, Hot Air is reporting that more stories are surfacing from Barack's church, including some controversial rants like this one:

ROTR- Obama and Reverend WrightMr. Wright thundered on: “America is still the No. 1 killer in the world. . . . We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns, and the training of professional killers . . . We bombed Cambodia, Iraq and Nicaragua, killing women and children while trying to get public opinion turned against Castro and Ghadhafi . . . We put [Nelson] Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there. We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God.”

His voice rising, Mr. Wright said, “We supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-Semitic. . . . We care nothing about human life if the end justifies the means. . . .”

Concluding, Mr. Wright said: “We started the AIDS virus . . . We are only able to maintain our level of living by making sure that Third World people live in grinding poverty. . . .”

Accusing the United States of starting the AIDS virus is beyond America-hatred, it's far left conspiracy theorist lunacy. If Wright's hateful sermons were a rare thing, Barack might be able to get through this controversy by condemning his words here and there. As we learn that they were common, it's becoming apparent that Barack must fully cut all ties to his spiritual guru, and condemn the man as the race-bating America hater that he is.

Bear Stearns anyone?

...the pastor was right on a few things. The US did support South Africa when they were practicing apartheid and the drug laws are tilted against blacks and the poor. I'll stay away from his 'chickens coming home to roost' stuff and Palestinian conflict rants as I'm not arguing that here in your house.

But, where's the anger over the Fed's tax bailout of Bear-Stearns. How much tax money was just given over because a bunch of investors made poor decisions in running with all this sub-prime mortgage BS? Isn't that the kind of stuff that gets true conservatives pissed off?

Here's just one story from August talking about the people whom the Fed thinks deserve your tax dollars:

Rescue Bear Stearns, but all those idiots who actually took those silly mortgages are SOL. Just the way things go 'round these parts.

I realize this story is way more complicated than just being a simple rescue of one trading firm, but is this really capitalism as it should be? Individuals at our level are told to make it, break it or stand on our own decisions. If I invest badly, I am shit out of luck and I get no aid from the FED. But a company gets to pass the hat when they mess up...And get rescued with tax-payer money. While normal people, when faced with a crisis, at best can get a few months of unemployment or welfare. And if I make bad decisions with my 401K or investments, I'm out in the cold if the poop hits the fan. Just don't seem right.

Seemingly, a lot of people knew this sub-prime stuff was a scam, yet didn't mind buying into it to make money.

Justin is just too frelling stupid

Hey jackwad lying baby warpimp:

1) Obama has already stated that he does not share Wright's views. You're too frakking dishonest to mention that.

2) Let's see if you have the spine to discuss an actual issue. What is Obama's policy position on competitive bidding for federal contracts? This will require you to actually look up a FACT, rather than just echo wingnut talking points.

You're simply not smart enough to do that, fuddpucker.
