Obama's Answer to Wright Doesn't Hold Up
- Posted by Justin Higgins on March 15th, 2008 in
Barack Obama has condemned Wright's statements, though none specifically, only referring to them as "the statements in question." Also, Wright has since left Barack's campaign. Barack has publicly claimed that he was never in the pews when Wright spouted his racist idiocy, but I don't think that lie is going to hold up. The Autonomist brings us a Newsmax article:
Presidential candidate Barack Obama preaches on the campaign trail that America needs a new consensus based on faith and bipartisanship, yet he continues to attend a controversial Chicago church whose pastor routinely refers to "white arrogance" and "the United States of White America."
In fact, Obama was in attendance at the church when these statements were made on July 22.
. . . Wright's strong sentiments were echoed in the Sunday morning service attended by NewsMax.
Wright laced into America's establishment, blaming the "white arrogance" of America's Caucasian majority for the woes of the world, especially the oppression suffered by blacks. To underscore the point he refers to the country as the "United States of White America." Many in the congregation, including Obama, nodded in apparent agreement as these statements were made.
Leftists are quickly trying to claim that this issue is dead, but it's not dead at all, especially if Obama is lying about whether or not he knew the radical nature of Jeremiah Wright. Also, Obama has yet to go on the record in saying which specific statements he condemns, he only says "the statements in question." Does that mean he's saying any statements we find controversial, he condemns? Barack is quickly becoming one of the nation's best double-talkers.

Good God!
This is just as stupid as when the dems bitch and want republicans to repudiate the ravings of Anne Coulter and Jerry Falwell.
Why do you play these games? You're smarter than this...
Newsmax doesn't hold up
Although Newsmax might claim Obama was at Trinity UCC on July 22, he was actually in Miami on July 22.

I guess all black people look alike to Newsmax.
Just as bad
Show me where Justin posted what I did above.
No, on second thought, I don't care what you have to say. You're perfectly willing to join Justin in smearing Obama because someone else said something that puts your knickers in a twist. You're no better than he is.
No Answer
That doesn't answer why you said he didn't post what Barack said when he did in another post. I think it's ridiculous to judge Barack by what this man said, but it does trouble me that our candidate has ties to men like this.
Horsepuckey
Pfffffft. Justin makes no effort at debate. He parrots the Wingnut Meme O' The Day, and has no compunctions whatsoever about lying when the need arises.
Justin
Justin told us what Obama said in an update to this post. You're actually making it difficult for me to continue supporting the same people you support, because you make us look bad. You obviously aren't following the Barack model of having an honest civilized debate, you're like a drive-by shooter.
Because Justin is too gutless
Justin hasn't got the balls to tell you folks what Obama has said. Here it is:
Please go right on being the dishonest, gormless little wanker you are, Justin. Because we both know you haven't got the potential to be anything else -- ever.
