Political Correctness

In recent times this issue has'nt been talked about for a long time. Though everyday it still affects many people everyday this blog is more specifically about what happens to many school children every day. At many schools today kids can’t express their religion, beliefs, and etc. Why is it so horrible if one student hears conflicting beliefs from other students? Does that violate their right to freedom of speech, religion, and association? I don’t believe that in any way it does. So why are we having all these attacks on peoples beliefs. Schools can get sued these days just because of a Christmas tree, or passing out candy canes. Why do people think they have the right to block out everyone else’s beliefs just because it isn’t the same as theirs? Do they interpret the 1st Amendment of the Constitution different from the way I do? They seem to believe that along with the right to whatever beliefs they care to believe in it also guarantees that no one else can expose them to their religion. Personally, I don’t get why they interpret the amendment this way. The 1st Amendment simply guarantees the freedom of speech, press, association and religion. It doesn’t guarantee that they don’t have to listen at other’s viewpoints. I think a good judge of whether a right is just or not is whether it intrudes on others’ rights. If you look at the way some people interpret the 1st amendment you would see that when they contend that they have the right not to hear others’ viewpoints it intrudes on others’ rights to express theirs. THis is my first blog ever I'd greatly appreciate some input on how to correctly create on and just comments about this one.
