The Pinnacle of Elitism

Barack Obama has long been the candidate of the elitist of all liberals, but he has somehow managed to pull off wins in places like Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri. It's been because he has duped voters, who don't understand what he really thinks about Middle America. Via Huffington Post of all sites, Barack Obama:
"But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there's not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
First off, I find it shocking that Barack Obama would mention trade when he ran on "I'm against NAFTA" in Ohio to try to beat Hillary Clinton. Secondly, Barack has tried to run to the middle on some issues like guns, so by saying what he is, he's exposing his liberalism. As this race goes on, we learn more and more about the real Barack Obama.

Classic!
I like how both the Madame and the Madman both pounced on these comments in both the same way, even with the woman using that 'elitism' buzzword, just like the republicans use.
This is how RICH people talk about other people. Big deal. How come nobody gets slapped when they talk about how people turned to religion after 911?
And yeah, people are bitter about the state of manufacturing and lost jobs. Too bad they blame Bush, 'globalization' and republicans for it. Its as much the fault of them as it is every democrat president and businessman.
Fun fact, government is now the #1 employer in the country, employing more people than manufacturing and the retail sector. That ain't a picture of a happy, prosperous population.
And Obama didn't go nearly as far as he could have with his anti-NAFTA pandering in Ohio. Had he bitched more, brought up more facts, he might have beat her. He did the surface pandering, like when politcos used to bitch about 'the trusts' and 'big business' while never really mentioning who those people and companies were.
