No Matter Who is President

Vets for Freedom is running a new ad saying that we need to finish the job in Iraq no matter who is elected President. With Barack shifting left and right and left again on the issue, it's essentially an election ad meant to support McCain or at least trap Obama on the issue. Allahpundit has some analysis too, so check that out after watching the ad:

-I'm sure these vets are well-versed in the culture of the area, the history of said region going back 1000 years and what their being there does to the geo-political situation of the region---so they might as well demand that 'we' stay and finish the job.
I'm waiting for the Vets for Freedom ad demanding that the US marches into Zimbabwe to bring democracy and freedom to the masses suffering from a lack of democracy and freedom there.
Er---wait, there's no oil there and the president, a dictator and a murderer, doesn't vent any sort of hate towards Israel so I guess there's no lever for the US to care... Sorry dudes.

-until we have a puppet regime in power that will follow orders, make sure the oil flows, keep those arabs/natives under control and make sure all neo-liberal financial dictates are followed.
Which, of course, is the pattern in every post-WW2 intervention, military or covert, the US has ever carried-out.
