Currently, I am an honors student in high school.
I am a straight Christian with gay friends. YES, READ IT AGAIN: GAY FRIENDS. I started my college search a few months ago and TCU has always been my first choice.
After I read the article about TCU's gay housing, TCU created an even bigger appeal to me.
Jesus preached God created everyone and LOVES everyone equally.
Everyone is created differently and I think some people are only bashing gays and lesbians because they are afraid of the "scary unknown". Unless you can walk on water, who are you to say everyone should live the same way?
Jesus wouldn't turn away from ANYONE.

In order to save souls and preach to the Multitude you have to first welcome them all. Even Jesus said come as you are. he wasn't talking about the way people were dressed he was referring to the sin that they were carrying we was telling them to come as they were so that he could cleanse them and take away all of their troubles and pain. You see what you people don't understand is that what TCU is doing is brilliant they are calling for all people and challenging all people to reach out to those in sin and embrace them and show them God's love. All of you people who are negative on this are not true "christians" because one thing that CHRISTIANS must do is speak the word of God and introduce those who are troubled and confused to the works of God. All Of you people are hypocrites and need to understand that if TCU can welcome liars, cheaters, thieves and not know it they can welcome the LGBT community not to condone, or to condem but to help and educate. The angels in the story were androgynous, thus it could not have been homosexual behavior that was being condemned. In fact, what angered god was that the angels he sent were not being treated as guests should have been treated. You might mention that Lot tried to protect his guests (the angels) by offering up his daughters (for sex) to the angry mob. Oh, and you might also mention that after Lot and his family left, and Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of, yes, salt, his daughters got him drunk and had sex with him. I hardly think that the story of Sodom and Gomorrah is one that you should be using to defend your position on homosexuality. Unless, of course, in condemning homosexuality (based on this story) you are then condoning incest. Well, in any case, you'd be better off sticking to Paul's misguided misogynistic admonishments if you want to try and defend your position. At least he was New Testament. Then again, if you do use Paul, I guess you should use everything Paul said. You know, including the part where he tells women that they are not permitted to speak in church. And the part where he says it's better for men to be single than married, but if they absolutely can't help themselves, then the next best choice is marriage.

Oh, wait. I forgot. We're picking and choosing the parts of the Bible we want to follow. My bad.
