John McCain
McCain 2013
- Posted by Justin Higgins on May 15th, 2008 in
I might be overanalyzing McCain's newest ad, but it just screams "single term" to me. All of his goals are to be completed by 2013, setting us up for a Romney/Jindal/DeMint/Whoever Presidency. The list is moderately impressive, but it could use some specifics. What will 2013 look like?
Another "100 Years" Distortion

The "100 Years" rhetoric has been disproved time and time again, yet the leftists continue using it to try to discredit our nominee. It's not just Obama, it's his cronies too:

McCain mentioned that he would be visiting Arkansas during the conference call I was on with the Senator. Via RCP, here's a video report regarding the visit:
McCain on Obama, Ayers, and Wright
- Posted by Justin Higgins on April 25th, 2008 in
I was just on a blogger conference call with John McCain, and a large portion of the call was spent talking about Barack Obama, William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and the other shady members of corrupt Chicago. John McCain reiterated his stance that the North Carolina ad about Wright should be pulled, but he also said that he doesn't have the power to make that decision. Allow me to paraphrase a bit, but when questioned on the ad, Senator McCain said the following:
In my view, we should be talking about the differences between myself and Senator Obama on the issues. I don’t believe that [the Wright ad] is an appropriate issue. Just like I didn’t agree with Mr. Cunningham.
While the Senator disagreed with the Wright ad, he was a bit more confrontational towards Barack Obama when discussing Ayers. He's went after Barack for this association in the past. When Hugh Hewitt asked John McCain about the Ayers-Coburn association Obama made, our nominee expressed a bit of frustration with the media:
I’m surprised more hasn’t been made about the comparison, between an unrepentant terrorist, and that’s what Ayers is, and a great American [in Senator Tom Coburn]...
John McCain is drawing the line here between an unrepentant terrorist and just one kooky America-hating pastor. Later in the call, John McCain commented on one of Barack Obama's more traditional associates, a man pushing a huge tax increase in Cook County, Illinois. Our nominee wasn't surprised, given Barack's pension for supporting tax increases himself. To round this all out, Hot Air has a video of one of Obama's associates that wasn't discussed during the call, Bernadine Dohrn, making some radical statements. While McCain pushes a clean campaign, Obama is surrounding himself with dirty people:
