More Anti-War Bombing Threats

Justin Higgins — Mon, 2008-03-10 20:01

Via Michelle Malkin, an idiot blog hosted on blogspot is now threatening a domestic terrorist attack at Gathering of Eagles events. I won't link the blog here, but I will share the same screenshot Michelle shared:

ROTR-

Update (Language Warning): From the same site, the threats are also filled with profanity and less vague than the first one:

ROTR- Bomb Threat

Update2: Michelle Malkin's readers are proving themselves the most thorough on the web. The blogger in question claims to be Evan M. Knappenberger. The big deal about this is, Evan M. Knappenberger is a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War. It looks pretty plausible because Knappenberger uses the same "Gathering of Smeagols" title line. The kicker? The end of his IVAW post:

Peace, and non-violence, always, Evan M. Knappenberger

Update3 (Language Warning): Evan Knappenberger has chosen to respond to Michelle since she pointed out his threat. In a very obvious way, he made an outright threat against the Gathering of Eagles, and now he's backtracking. That's good news, because we don't want anyone in danger. Look at this horrific response:

Video: Military Recruitment Center Attack

Justin Higgins — Thu, 2008-03-06 19:08

Update2: Are the letters unrelated? Hot Air has a post up discussing the bombing and who exactly is behind the attack. At this point, I think we need to say all options are still there.

Update: We now know that this was a politically-motivated attack, due to a series of letters sent to various Congressional offices, including but not limited to the Democrats that represent New York City in Congress. Via Yahoo News, emphasis mine:

The message on the card: “Happy New Year, We Did It.”

The envelope also contained a packet of approximately 10 sheets of paper that seemed to be a political manifesto railing against the Iraq war and a booklet. The aide didn’t know what the booklet was.

The Times Square terrorist attack from this morning is still unsolved, but I have a feeling that it won't stay that way. Hot Air brings us some surveillance video from the attack. From the smoke evidence, it looks pretty extreme:

Attempted Arson, Attempted Murder... And Treason

Justin Higgins — Thu, 2008-03-06 12:45

Update: Several readers are telling me that I could add a plethora of charges to the list, and I agree, but my main point was emphasizing that treason should be included. Also, I've been asked why I included attempted murder, when the recruiting station was empty. While it was early, the attacker couldn't be sure the area would be clear or empty, so given that the bomb could've killed, attempted murder should be on the list of charges.

In case you haven't heard, early this morning someone tossed an explosive at a Military Recruitment Center in Times Square. Whoever is found responsible should be tried for attempted arson, attempted murder, and something our government is unwilling to prosecute with, treason. An attack on the United States military is simply that, treason. The news from the Boston Herald:

ROTR- Attack at Recruitment Center in Times SquareAn explosive device caused minor damage to an empty military recruiting station in Times Square early Thursday, shaking guests in hotel rooms high above.

Police blocked off the area to investigate the explosion, which occurred at about 3:45 a.m., shattering the station’s glass entryway. No one was injured.

“If it is something that’s directed toward American troops than it’s something that’s taken very seriously and is pretty unfortunate,” said Army Capt. Charlie Jaquillard, who is the commander of Army recruiting in Manhattan.

This was no small attack. People blocks away said they felt the blast, which apparently shook the building and builings nearby. All of the major military branches used this building to recruit. As I said, attempted arson, attempted murder, and treason.

Flying Imams Finally Back Off

Justin Higgins — Wed, 2007-08-22 17:34

The Flying Lying Imams are finally ready to give up their legal jihad on the folks that ratted them out. I guess that means that I can't keep pumping out the photoshops. Michelle Malkin broke the news:

Michelle,

We wanted to let you know that the imams just dismissed their case against the John Doe passengers.

That was from the Becket Fund. Michelle also has all the paperwork. Finally.

Excuses of Ohio Jihadis

Justin Higgins — Thu, 2007-08-02 12:27

Nuradin Abdi plotted to attack a mall in Ohio, and he pleaded guilty for it. Now, his lawyer is saying that he didn't plead guilty because he was actually guilty, but because his jihadist client would be nailed by a biased jury. I turn to LGF for the story:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The attorney for a man accused of plotting to blow up a shopping mall in Columbus says his client decided to plead guilty rather than risk life in prison.

Mahir Sherif says Nuradin Abdi was worried about a jury’s reaction given the country’s current mood.

He says Abdi would not have faced a jury of his peers but rather people with only limited understanding of the issues surrounding the war on terror.

Abdi pleaded guilty in federal court today to conspiring to provide material support to terrorists. He is expected to receive ten years and be deported after serving his sentence.

The headline Charles chose is probably the most fitting- Ohio Terrorist: Americans Too Dumb to Understand Nuances of Jihad. This is a pretty insulting way to say, "My client is guilty but we don't want to admit it."
