Kid Turns Camera Into "Taser"
- Posted by Justin Higgins on April 3rd, 2008 in
Today Shepard Smith talked about a kid from Clinton, Connecticutt who rigged a disposable camera to give off an electrical shock. The police are saying that this was a dangerous weapon, but the father says it's just a prank device. Looking at it, I'm more apt to side with the father. You decide:
Splitting the Coalition

Even our side has a few sore losers. Jason Werner ran a campaign to be the Republican nominee for Congress in Ohio's 10th, and he was thoroughly trounced by Jim Trakas. Instead of re-upping his commitment to strong Conservative values, and trying to change the party from the inside, he made the idiotic declaration that he's changing parties:
I encourage everyone who voted for me to check out the new party, in which I am now involved. Anyone conservative enough to vote for Jason Werner, the man who is bold enough to say he is pro-life with no exceptions, the man who claims he has solutions for our messed up tax system, and the man who is bold enough to say he is discriminate with regard to family, in that he is against homosexuality, should feel relieved with the Constitution Party.
Let me make it clear, that I have nothing against third parties or the Constitution Party in particular, but I have a problem with people giving up on the Reagan Coalition. It's even worse that he gave up on the Reagan Coalition because he lost. This type of idiocy doesn't belong on our side, ever, and Jason Werner needs a reality check.
Idiocy Across the Globe

South Carolina's contestant in the Miss Teen USA pageant is an idiot. She's an attractive, inarticulate idiot. In case you missed it, she gave a rambling retarded answer to a question about why Americans can't seem to find the US on a map:
So is it possible, that there could be people out there in the world that are actually stupider than Miss Teen South Carolina? How about a large percentage of a French audience and a French man who made it onto their version of 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' This is something you need to see:
Yep, idiocy is one thing that permeates all borders, infects all cultures, and needs to be combated wherever it's found. These videos make me feel like a freakin' genius.
Another U.N. Idiotic Moment

Zimbabwe is a country riddled with corruption, famine, and even terrorism. That apparently qualifies them for a high level commission position in the Useless Nations. Little Green Footballs has the story:
UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Zimbabwe won approval on Friday to head a key U.N. body charged with promoting economic progress and environmental protection despite protests from the U.S., European nations and human rights organizations.
The 53-member Commission on Sustainable Development voted 26-21 with three abstentions on the new chair, said Luiz Alberto Figueiredo Machado, vice chair of the commission. The chair traditionally rotates among regions of the world and it is Africa’s choice this year. The government of Zimbabwe has nominated Francis Nhema, the minister of environment and tourism, to chair the commission.
Shall we harken back to when Cuba and Sudan were sitting pretty on the U.N. Human Rights Commission? Another idiotic moment, but hey, it shouldn't surprise us.
