ACORN Broke No Laws in Prostitution Videos? What!?

Ben Graham — Thu, 2009-12-10 14:35

Ok, is it just me or is it illegal to advise someone to commit a crime? Apparrently not for ACORN:

Via CNN:

Community organizing group ACORN needs wide-ranging reforms after an embezzlement scandal, but broke no laws when conservative activists posing as a prostitute and a pimp approached members in a videotaped "sting," an attorney's report concludes.

The videos led to the dismissal of four ACORN employees who appeared to offer advice to the couple and to federal legislation barring the group from receiving federal funds. But a review by former Massachusetts Attorney General Scott Harshbarger, who was hired by ACORN to examine the issue, found "no evidence that any action, illegal or otherwise, was taken by ACORN employees on behalf of the videographers."

I can't even believe this! Are liberals such as this Harshbarger so committed to preserving this corrupt organization that they will dismiss it as "inappropriate?"

...While some of the advice and counsel given by ACORN employees and volunteers was clearly inappropriate and unprofessional, we did not find a pattern of intentional, illegal conduct by ACORN staff," Harshbarger's report concludes. "In fact, there is no evidence that action, illegal or otherwise, was taken by any ACORN employee on behalf of the videographers."

"Inappropriate and unprofessional?" No it was not only "Inappropriate and unprofessional" it was illegal! For a organization to advise people to break the law, an organization that works in the most crime ridden places in the U.S. no less, is clearly breaking the law! If I was a consultant for a major corporation and I told them to hide cash from the government and advised how to bring in illegal workers, and this was all on video. I would have the cops at my door the very next day! This is the same thing that happened in the ACORN videos. In fact it is clear that a organization supposedly committed to helping the poor and the "unprivileged" in our society is in fact encouraging the behavior that keeps them there in the first place!

It is time for every decent and upright person in our country who care about the poor and "underprivileged" in our country to stand up and denounce ACORN for what it is. A corrupt organization not concerned about the well being of the people it is trying to help, but only concerned about appeasing the bleeding heart liberals, and not about really helping the people they are supposed to help.

More ACORN Scandal: San Diego Document Dump.

Ben Graham — Tue, 2009-11-24 01:26

Well ACORN is at it again. This time they have dumped thousands of documents in a public dumpster. Some of them were even personal documents with sensitive personal information.

Biggovernment.com, the home of David O'Keefe and the ACORN prostitution scandal videos broke this story early yesterday morning:

On October 1st, 2009 California Attorney General Jerry Brown announced that an investigation had been opened into ACORN’s activities in California, resulting from undercover videos showing employees seemingly offering to assist the undercover film makers with human smuggling, child prostitution and even tax advice to boot.

Although ACORN has denied any wrongdoing, some of the employees involved were terminated, and ACORN has publicly stated that they would fully cooperate with any investigations that followed.

Interestingly, the local head ACORN organizer in California, David Lagstein was caught on tape earlier this month speaking to an East County Democratic Club.

Mr. Lagstein stated: “…the attorney general is a political animal, but certainly every bit of the communication we have had with them has suggested that the fault will be found with the people that did the video and not the people with ACORN.”

Continuing, Mr. Lagstein stated: “…we are fully cooperating, some of the investigators visited our office this morning and I think they really understand what’s going on.”

Shockingly, we now learn that the ACORN office in National City (San Diego County) engaged in a massive document dump on the evening of October 9th, containing thousands upon thousands of sensitive documents, just days prior to the Attorney General’s visit.

BigGovernment.com has learned that not only did this document dump occur, but the documents in question were irresponsibly and brazenly dumped in a public dumpster, without considering laws and regulations as to how sensitive information should be treated.

So it seams that not only have they encouraged prostitution and tax evasion they have also have dumped thousands of potentially incriminating documents in the trash.

And we are supposed to believe that they are clean as a whistle.... right.

Make sure you read the whole post on Biggovernment.com its pretty shocking.
